Happy Holidays...

Happy Tuesday Med Occ Students!
I can't believe that this is the last couple of days before Winter Break! Where did the time go?!

A couple of assignment announcements...
  • No Quiz tomorrow - I will postpone until the new year because we have a guest speaker.  In its place though you will need to complete this quick assignment tonight (for points!) Click HERE! Take notes and bring in your data to share.
  • You will need to bring in your homework packet though for the circulatory system.

LADIES
Check out this very cool Perry Initiative Opportunity! You can earn hours for class if you attend!

Site over Break?
If you are thinking you might want to pick up some extra hours over break, you can! Please email me what days and times you plan to work and make sure to pick up some extra time sheets.

Need TIMESHEETS? Click HERE!

See everyone tomorrow!

Just another Manic Monday!

Good Afternoon Med Occs!

Here are some announcements and reminders...

First a HUGE thank you to all the students who showed up for the Holiday Parade Saturday Night! My kids and I had SO much fun with you! Also thank you to all the students who worked on the float.  I was so proud of you hard work and enthusiasm!

Click HERE for a link to our presentation on the Muscular system.  Don't forget to complete Chapter 4 question in the Medical Terminology text.  You will be tested this Wednesday on that information!

Kaiser Interns
Hoping everyone got to their IT training today, either in the morning or this afternoon.  One more group to go tomorrow.

HERE are your sign on codes.  Don't know if you were given your volunteer log in codes today, but if not here they are... Refer to the sheet in your binder so you know how to log in and out each day!

Nursing Scholarship
I wanted to make your students aware of a scholarship opportunity. Nursing Schools Almanac has just launched its second annual AspiringNurse Scholarship. Our website will award a $1,000 scholarship to an aspiring nurse who best demonstrates:

+ A track record of academic excellence, particularly in science and mathematics
+ A passion for the nursing profession and the overall field of healthcare

This scholarship is open to all high school seniors who plan to pursue college education in nursing, including LPN / LVN, ADN, and BSN programs. Scholarship applications will be accepted until midnight on June 30, 2016.

We ask interested students to visit www.nursingschoolsalmanac.com and click the banner on the right-hand side of the website's homepage. Here they'll find detailed scholarship information and the official application form.

If possible, we'd greatly appreciate that you include a link to our scholarship program on your school's scholarship webpage. Please also feel free to share information about this scholarship via social media.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know. If you are not the appropriate person, please let me know whom I should contact instead with this scholarship information.

Sincerely,

Shawn Harrell
